Building Bridges, Honoring Heritage
It all started at a family gathering, listening to our tía share stories about the children who'd become like her own back in Mexico. Kids who could have been us—brilliant and ambitious, but fighting the same battles our parents once fought. As we sat there, realizing how far our family had come in America, a question took root that wouldn't let go:
Why wasn't there a bridge between the life we built and the lives we left behind?
That moment changed everything.
We realized how lucky we'd been—our families had made it, beaten the odds, created opportunities, but many children back home were still navigating the same challenges our families once faced. We saw an opportunity to co-create something meaningful—products that wouldn't just celebrate our cultura, but would actively give back to the communities that shaped who we became.
Building Mexicada, together with people like you, became our way to pay it forward. Every design perfected meant another child could attend school. Every piece sold meant more families supported.
We spent years learning how to create something beautiful that could also create real change, while always asking ourselves: Would this make abuela proud?
Today, Mexicada represents more than fashion inspired by our heritage. Every purchase becomes an act of cultural pride and generational healing, transforming our community from customers into changemakers.
Because real pride in your roots means planting seeds for others to grow theirs.
Every time you purchase a Mexicada piece, a portion of net proceeds goes to ChildFund programs supporting children’s education and development in Mexico.
