Slow Cooker Barbacoa: Easy and Flavorful

Slow cookers are the magic wands of the kitchen. They make everything better with time, and Barbacoa is no exception! Here’s how to do it:

Ingredients: You’ll need beef (chuck roast works great), garlic, onions, chipotle peppers, cumin, oregano, bay leaves, and a splash of lime juice.
Instructions: Brown the beef in a pan, then place it in the slow cooker. Add the garlic, onions, chipotle peppers, cumin, oregano, bay leaves, and lime juice. Pour in some beef broth to help everything cook. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Finishing Touch: After 8 hours, shred the beef with a fork, mix it into the juices, and let it soak in all those flavors. Serve with tortillas, cilantro, and maybe a little salsa for the full experience!

Pressure Cooker Barbacoa: Quick, But Just As Delicious

In a rush? No worries! The pressure cooker to the rescue. You can get that Barbacoa goodness in about 2 hours, and it’s just as flavorful. Here’s how:

Ingredients: Same as the slow cooker recipe – beef, garlic, onions, chipotle peppers, cumin, oregano, bay leaves, and lime juice. Just remember to grab that beef broth!
Instructions: Brown the beef first, then toss everything into the pressure cooker. Seal it up and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes before opening the lid.
Finishing Touch: Shred the beef just like you would in the slow cooker. Mix it all up with the juices, and voila! Your Barbacoa is ready to serve in a fraction of the time.
